Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and its Impact

Hampton Trust has been delivering training to Teachers, Social Workers, Army Welfare, Police, and many other Professionals and Agencies for over 25 years. Due to the success of our previous Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Trauma-informed Training, Southampton City Council have funded further training. We also work in several schools within Hampshire delivering packages that assist young people to understand their personal story, address the impact of their own adverse childhood experiences, support them to interact in a positive way, develop resilience and set goals for the future.

Through our work with schools, it has come to light that many of you would have liked to attend our ACEs training but have found the timings difficult. Therefore, to make our training more accessible we are offering three different times on three different days and the training is completely remote via Zoom. Places are limited and we will be offering places on a first come first served basis so please secure your place by booking with us using the link below.

The training will provide opportunities to gain a greater understanding of trauma informed responses and the link between adverse childhood experiences and trauma.

Participants will:

Gain an increased knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Gain confidence in interacting effectively with offenders
Be able to recognise ACES and respond accordingly
Gain insight into trauma informed practice
Explore Trauma and its relationship with Domestic abuse and violent offending
Gain greater understanding of referral pathways to The Hampton Trust
Gain an insight into peer on peer abuse and how this can be addressed in schools.
