Hampton Trust training – Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences and its impacts – spaces available – 9 June 2021
We are pleased to be providing remote training on Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences and its impacts to professionals across Southampton. We currently have 200 spaces available.
The workshop provides an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of trauma informed responses and the link between adverse childhood experiences and trauma.
The training is suitable for front line professionals who work in Southampton with families living with domestic abuse. We have delivered these workshops to police, probation, social services, health and education and participants will:
- Gain an increased knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE)
- Gain an understanding in brain development in early years
- Understand the impact of childhood adversity
- Understand how Social, Health and Community impacts on ACE / Trauma
- Understand trauma vulnerabilities specific to girls and woman
- Understand protective factors
- Understand importance of resilience in response to trauma histories
- ACE through a Trauma Informed Lens
