We understand that domestic abuse is complex. Some service users have multiple needs or are not ready for group interventions, and some may show harmful behaviours so entrenched that they pose a high risk to their partners/ex-partners and families.
We work with these individuals one-on-one to support them on their path to healthier behaviours.
The aim of Project Foundation is to improve lives and relationships, increase safety, and reduce the need for police involvement in the future.
Project Foundation is offered to those who have come to the attention of the police because of unhealthy behaviours within their intimate partner relationships (current or ex-partners) and provides an opportunity to identify and address those unhealthy behaviours.
A Domestic Abuse Navigator from Hampton Trust will offer a one-to-one initial assessment. For those who choose to engage with the service, practitioners will continue regular one-to-one work based on individual needs, which might include:
The aim of the Drive Project is always to make victims and survivors safer by disrupting abuse and ensuring that the agencies surrounding a case are working together.
It works with individuals who have been assessed as high-risk, high-harm to the people with whom they are in an intimate relationship. They also often have multiple needs and may find it difficult to change.
Over the course of several months, a case manager works one-on-one with the individual, tailoring the sessions to support those who face barriers in terms of mental health, substance misuse, employment concerns, and issues in the home.
They will challenge service users to change and work with partner agencies, like the police and social services, to make sure partners/ex-partners and families are safe.
